  • Birthday page details — child's first name, age, selected charity, their story, and contribution split preferences
  • Contact information — parent email address (for dashboard access and notifications)
  • Contribution data — contributor name, optional birthday message, and contribution amount
  • Payment information — processed securely through Stripe; we do not store credit card details on our servers
  • Birthday reminder signups — email address and child's birthday date for optional reminder notifications
  • Usage data — pages visited, browser type, device information, and general analytics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and display birthday giving pages
  • Process contributions and split funds between charity and birthday gift portions
  • Send parents a private dashboard link to view contributions

4. Payment Processing

Contributor names and birthday messages are displayed publicly on the birthday page. Contribution amounts may be visible to the parent via their dashboard.

7. Children's Privacy

KindGifts is designed for parents to create birthday pages on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The child's first name, age, and charity story are provided by the parent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

You may:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data and associated birthday pages
  • Unsubscribe from birthday reminder emails at any time
